Love in Action

During Term 3, as a whole School we will be focusing on the Biblical theme: "Love in Action". The Bible teaches us that people will know what we believe through our actions. Jesus also teaches that we should love and put others first. Often love is shown best through actions and not only words! Over the weeks we will discuss different sub themes within our overall theme. Some of these include 'We Love our Familes', 'We Love our Community', 'We Love our School', etc. I am very excited about the impact this will have on students and staff, as well as our community.   During our Tuesday assemblies our guest speakers will reiterate these themes by including them in their message.

This Term is filled with exciting events and educational opportunities. Junior School children are looking forward to visiting Happy Harold over the next few weeks where they will be involved in Life Education lessons. Some of our musicians represented our School recently and performed in the Crown Street Mall. This included the Junior School Choir, our School Band and some of our finest violinists. Thank you to Mrs Walton and Mrs Collins and Mrs Marshall who teach and guide these musicians.

While some students in Years 2 to 4 attended the Primary Zone Athletics Carnival last week, children in Prep to Year 1 will be participating in the Infants Athletics Carnival towards the end of the Term.  This is sure to be a fun day for students, parents and staff.
Children will have the opportunity to participate in different types of races and physical activities.

We are looking forward to Sean W Smith, a Christian songwriter and performer who will be visiting our School towards the end of the Term.  Some students danced and sang to some of his songs for our Celebration production last year and we have been enjoying his songs in class and at assembly. We are hoping we will have his concert in our new hall.
