Congratulations to all our English Extension students who competed in the ICAS (International Competitions and Assessments for Schools) English and ICAS Writing Competition.
ICAS is an international competition run by the University of New South Wales that requires students to think critically and creatively. Over 20 countries take part in this challenging competition.
A special mention for Jai Sharman who has achieved a High Distinction in the English competition placing him in the top 1 percent of Year 8 students who entered.
Other high achievers included Distinction place getters Max McIver (top 2%), Jye Stephens (top 4%), Samuel Costi (top 7%), Daniel Munro (top 7%) and Chloe Inglis (11%).
Nineteen Credits were also awarded to Cedars’ students. This is a fantastic result for these students, especially as this was the first time many of them had entered ICAS.
