Charlotte selected to attend Sydney Symphony Orchestra Workshop

“I know that the most joy in my life has come to me from my violin.” – Albert Einstein

Charlotte Handicott, a talented Year 8 student has been playing the violin since she was in Year 2 at Cedars.  Her dedication and hard work has paid off today as she has been one of only a few students in the Illawarra selected to attend a Sydney Symphony Orchestra Workshop held in Wollongong.

Her love of music has been evident throughout her school years and her music teachers at the Wollongong Conservatorium have recognised Charlotte’s talent and selected her to attend the workshop.  They will be learning a Beethoven piece which is sure to challenge our young musician.

Charlotte will be taking her 6th Grade Violin Exam this year and is determined to keep playing her favourite stringed instrument well into the future but for today she is excited about this incredible opportunity.  “I’m so looking forward to the workshop and then afterwards we are all going to watch the Symphony perform tonight!”
