Fantastic Results – State Cross Country

A large team of Cedars Primary and Secondary students competed at last week’s CSSA State Cross Country in Sydney.  The conditions were perfect for running and we came home with some fantastic results including  Hannah Thomas who came 2nd,  Joshua Keys who came 8th and Denzel Amone who came 9th.  All  three will now be moving on to CIS!

Our competitors ran the great distances with determination and effort to get to the finish line. Each of the events had over 100 contestants which make our results even more outstanding.

There were some brilliant individual results, with our top performers on the day being:

Hannah Thomas                 2nd in 16yr girls

Joshua Keys                       8th in 11yr boys

Denzel Amone                    9th in 8/9yr boys

Sarah Van Vreumingen    11th in 15yr girls

Isabella Keys                      13th in 8/9yr girls

Mimi Bostock                      15th in 11yr girls

“Congratulations to these students on their fantastic results! Hannah, Joshua and Denzel will now be representing us at the Combined Independent Schools Cross Country Championships on the 15 June at Eastern Creek Raceway and  we will all be cheering them on from school,” said Sport Coordinator, Mr Wynn.
