Getting to know our Middle School Leaders

At the end of last Term we announced our new Middle School Leaders for 2020.   These young leaders will be working with Year 11 Leaders and our College Captains, developing valuable leadership skills.

Sarah Year 8:

What is one fun fact you can tell us about yourself?
“One fun fact about myself is that I love skateboarding.”
What has been the best thing about remote learning?
“The best thing about remote learning is having free time, chatting with my friends on different platforms and raiding the fridge!”
Do you have a tip for your fellow students during this time of remote learning?
“A tip I have is that make sure you remove all distractions like phones or tablets from your work space, keep hydrated and make sure you keep in contact with your friends.”

Josiah Year 8

What is one fun fact you can tell us about yourself?
“I’m massively colour blind.”
What has been the best thing about remote learning?
“The best thing about remote learning for me is that I have the ability to still connect and work with my peers and teachers while staying safe in my home.”
Do you have a tip for your fellow students during this time of remote learning?
“My tip for remote learning would be, make sure you are waking up in time for school, make sure you have a clear rundown of your day and have time set out to relax from school work.”

Maliah Year 5

What is one fun fact you can tell us about yourself?
“My hobby is acrobatics and after COVID 19 is over my team and I are going to the State Regionals in QLD. I am really excited!”
What has been the best thing about remote learning?
“I have liked being able to spend more time with my family.”
What are you looking forward to most about school returning?
“Being able to see my friends again.”

What is one fun fact you can tell us about yourself?
“I really love playing sport!”
What has been the best thing about remote learning?
“What I really enjoyed about about online learning was teams meetings.”
What are you looking forward to most about school returning?
“Definitely seeing all my friends.

After Remote Learning Ended:

Jeremy Year 7

What is one fun fact you can tell us about yourself?

“When I was 15 months old, my family did a trip in an RV around the US. My dad didn’t have enough beds for me, so I slept in a bunch of  boxes.”

What  was the best thing about remote learning?

“You can get your work done quickly  and without interruptions.”

What do you like most about being back at school?

“Being back with my  teachers and having them explain the work to me face to face.

Tahlia Year 7

What is one fun fact you can tell us about yourself?

“I have played netball for 7 years.”

What  was the best thing about remote learning?

“I had dress up days with my best friend. Like bright colour day or artist day.”
What do you like most about being back at school?
“Having the teachers help you face to face.  And no brothers bugging you.”

Junior Year 6

What is one fun fact you can tell us about yourself?

“I love making collages – cutting up smaller pictures to make one large picture.”

What  was the best thing about remote learning?

“Being able to sleep in a bit longer in the mornings.”

What do you like most about being back at school?
“What I love about being back is definitely seeing my friends.”

“I love playing soccer and I play for South Coast United.”

What  was the best thing about remote learning?

“What i loved about remote learning was working at the my own pace.”
What do you like most about being back at school?
“Having face to face teaching, having my teachers to be able to ask questions and have things explained and seeing my friends.”
