Graduating the Class of 2017

This week’s Graduation Assembly drew the curtain on 13 years of schooling for our Year 12 students.

The farewell celebrated the achievements of a well-respected cohort who have excelled in the classroom, on the sporting field, in the creative arts and in community service.

A packed Leadership Centre saw a range of songs, speeches and video presentations from across the school pay tribute to the impact of Year 12 on the College.

And while the focus was on the past and present, speakers including Lighthouse Senior Leader, Paul Bartlett, shared leadership lessons for a fulfilling future.

College Principal, Steve Walton, said that the Class of 2017 was to be celebrated and acknowledged how this outstanding year group had exhibited the characteristics of what we as a school desire to see developed in our students.

  • Educated
  • Pursuing Excellence
  • Compassionate
  • Resilient
  • Faithful to God
  • Disciplined
  • Respectful

At the end of the ceremony which also included a beautiful tribute from Mr Carter and Mrs Naylor through song, the outgoing class danced together in celebration and excitement for the future awaiting them and where they will no doubt make an incredible impact.

The class of 2017 has left a deep footprint in the history of the College.  As a school community we wish them well and pray that each of them will move forward into the great futures that God has planned for each of  them.

Congratulations Class of 2017!
