We have always been community focused and are regularly involved in practical initiatives that require compassion and care of others. We love to show our students different ways in how they can meaningfully impact the world around them.
Our Year 3 and 4 students have been doing just that – reaching out and showing compassion and gratefulness outside of their own lives.
Mrs Pozoglou and Mrs Castle were overwhelmed as their students took time to think about and then write cards to two children who have compromised immune systems and are therefore under very strict quarantine measures and are in isolation. The students each wrote letters and cards of encouragement which were all gathered and sent with a box of goodies for the two children.
They also wrote letters to show their gratitude to our local nurses and doctors which their teachers have delivered to the hospital to encourage our frontline workers.
