Science has been exciting this term in Year 1 Blue as our eager young students have been observing several of the changes that occur in our environment.
Mr Jamieson, Year 1 Teacher said, “We have discussed and observed changes in seasons and the weather, and how these affect the natural world around us. These past few weeks we have especially noticed the changes in the school’s gardens.”
Students have listened to daily weather reports updating them on changes in the climate along with conducting fun science experiments which have helped them observe how natural weather events occur.
“Our favourite experiment so far has been on the water cycle. We placed a bag of water on a sunny window and watched the water change. We saw the water evaporate, condensate, precipitate and collect. These changes has helped us reflect on how amazing God’s creation really is,” commented Mr Jamieson.
