Cedars Shaves for Cancer

Tomorrow – Thursday 15 March at 11.45 am a number of Cedars Year 12 students, staff and even Principal Steve Walton will be shaving their heads for cancer.

We all know someone with cancer and it seems these days everyone has a family member or friend that has cancer so we wanted to do something,” said Year 12 student Brent Corneteg.

Kye Williams added that, “It’s important for Year 12 students to set an example of standing up for others and for what you believe in.”

Eleven brave students (10 boys and even 1 girl) from Year 12 hope that by shaving their heads for cancer they will inspire the younger students to make a stand for important matters and to stand together in support of each other.

To date the team have raised almost $6,000 which was their goal!

Ribbons will be available for a gold coin donation in support of those who have suffered this terrible disease.  Students and staff can purchase ribbons at the event.

Let’s stand together and make a difference!
