This week I’ve had the privilege of attending the Christian Schools Australia (CSA) National Leaders Summit in Perth with Mrs Guest and Mrs Brown. Some of the major focusses of the conference included ‘Biblical Literacy’ along with the ‘God’s Big Story’ curriculum developed by CSA.
God’s Big Story starts with creation. When I am in the natural environment I can’t help but see God and marvel at His wonderful creation. From the smallest of cells and all of the processes involved in its function, right through to all of the stars and planets in our solar system and universe.
In between meetings here in Perth, a group of us were able to take in some sites and explore the natural environment on the Western Australian Coastline. We stood on the white sand and looked at the bright blue waters of the Indian Ocean. We explored The Pinnacles and learned about the process in which they formed and after the sun set we stood in the desert and gazed at the night sky. It was like nothing I have ever seen before.
Although this was an amazing experience, we don’t need to go far at all to experience God. At Cedars we teach our students to look for and acknowledge God in all we do and see. We thank Him for what He has done for us, we listen for His voice in the many forms it can come, and we worship Him for His greatness.

“Let the heavens rejoice, let the earth be glad; let the sea resound, and all that is in it. Let the fields be jubilant, and everything in them; let all the trees of the forest sing for joy.”
