Should everything go back to normal?

What is it that you are most looking forward to once life regains some normality? I’m looking forward to eating a nice meal while sitting down in a restaurant!

The question I have is should everything go back to normal?

Was this pandemic an interruption to normal life therefore we just hold tight until we can have our old way of life back again?  Or is it a disruption in a way that there are some parts of our lives that simply must cease to exist or new ways and habits never seen in our lives before must begin? I personally believe in the latter.

When Jesus walked the earth there were people who enjoyed his value for others, his dislike of institutionalised religion but when Jesus left the earth physically, they went back to their previous lifestyles and habits. For those however, who were personally jolted or disrupted by his message of: to follow him is to relinquish your life, those people … their lifestyles, beliefs and habits changed forever.

Even Jesus said in Matthew 10:34 that he didn’t come to bring peace but a sword. Sounds a bit harsh? Jesus was saying, I haven’t come to be an inspiration, a feel good influencer, he was declaring his disruption, that if you would be willing he will separate you from your old life without faith and purpose.

If you have been curious about faith, about eternity, if you have found yourself in response to fear, praying, then don’t let 2020 be an interruption, let God disrupt your doubt with a new habit of faith! Now is the perfect time, you don’t even have to walk into a church building, you can watch online in your lounge room!
